Laser Smooth Company_Our 3 Favorite Spa Day Indulgences

Self-care is the name of the game in these dark winter months. With occurrences of Seasonal Affective Disorder reaching record highs, caring for your mind and body should be a priority akin to eating healthy, drinking water and getting a good night’s sleep. Self-care can manifest in many different ways, but perhaps our favorite way to maximize our attempts and contentment are with spa treatments, often ones we do ourselves with a glass of wine in one hand and the Roku remote in the other. Here are three of our favorite DIY spa luxuries to enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

Lime Mint Foot Soak

This fragrant foot soak recipe will leave tired feet feeling rejuvenated and relaxed. Combine 2 cups of Epsom salts with 1/2 cup baking soda and zest of one lime in a large bowl, add 3-4 drops of lime essential oil and 3-4 drops of peppermint essential oil. Stir thoroughly and get soaking.

Cocoa “Mud” Mask

Combine two loves, chocolate and skincare, with this cleverly edible facial mask. Combine equal parts lemon juice (to brighten), honey (to fight acne), greek yogurt (to exfoliate and hydrate), cocoa powder (for glowing skin), buttermilk (to soothe and tighten) and banana (to assuage hyperpigmentation) and apply. Rinse after 15 minutes or so.

Rosewater Toner

In the Northwest, a front yard rosebush is practically a prerequisite. Snatch a few petals from your overripe blooms and boil them in distilled water, letting them steep for approximately two hours. Chill, and move the mixture into a spray bottle. Now enjoy your extra fragrant toner!

The health of your skin is our greatest concern. If unwanted hair is damaging your self-confidence or causing anxiety, laser hair removal can help by revealing your healthy, luminous skin. Contact Laser Smooth Company to learn more about how we can effectively remove your unwanted hair.
