New Year new you! If you have been thinking about getting laser hair treatments done, winter is the time to do it! Then you will have smooth legs ready for summer! Here are a few myths about laser hair removal so you can be ready for your treatments!
Myth 4: You can never let the area see sunlight.
This is technically true. “For one week after treatment, you need to keep the areas that have been treated completely out of the sun” says Lauren. But after that, it’s fine to let them see sunlight – within reason. “You must wear sunblock,” Lauren explains, and you generally don’t want to be exposing the areas to sunlight for long periods of time, like sunbaking (which generally is a bad idea). Thing is, skin that’s been tanned by the sun can’t be treated, because there’s risk of the laser burning your skin.
